Barbara Ann Adkins, 77, of Barboursville, went to be with the Lord January 29, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Zach Bills and Rev. Jason Cook. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born April 28, 1936 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Bill and Catherine Alberts Lawhon. She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Lawhon and one sister, Madeline Bailey. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Keith Adkins; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Fred Cook of Barboursville; three sons, Keith Adkins, Jr., of Ona, Kenny Smokey Adkins and Michael Adkins, both of Barboursville; sisters, Shelby Plumley and Louise Davis, both of Barboursville, and Nancy Powell of Ona; brothers, Larry and Joe Lawhon, of Barboursville, and Jerry Lawhon of Salt Rock; and two grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer Cook.
