1923 - 2014
 William Brett Smith, 90, of Ona, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Marys Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1923, in Cabell County, a son of the late Ernest and Mary Chapman Smith. He is also preceded in death by one brother, James Harmon Smith and three sisters, Beatrice Shuemaker, Caroline Spence and Emogene Dick. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Genevieve Carson Smith; one daughter, Brenda Lea Smith Ketner; three grandchildren, Tyara Hughes (Chris), Tonya Rogers (Jason) and Tabitha Foster (Bobby); 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Roger and Denise Gibson and niece Rebecca Dick for the help they have given the family. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Gordon Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
