1944 - 2015
 Verle Ray Goodpaster, 71, of Barboursville, passed away December 4, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Pastor Rick Glass. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born November 7, 1944 in Huntington, a son of the late Norman Lee and Retha Black Goodpaster. Verle was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church, and an active member of the Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department as an engineer for 35 years. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Norman Goodpaster. He is survived by his wife, Teresa La-rae Wheeler Goodpaster; one daughter, Valerie Brooke Yuchniuk of Barboursville; two sons, Kevin Ray Goodpaster of Fraziers Bottom and Kelly Dale Goodpaster of Mason County, WV; two sisters, Reba Conrad and Sherry Davis, both of Milton; brothers, his twin brother, Merle, of Milton, Mike of Ceredo, WV and Terry Dale Goodpaster, of Milton; grandchildren, Louden of Fraziers Bottom, Seth of Barboursville, Mikayla of Barboursville and Olivia of Mason County, WV. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11-1 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. My wife janet and i want to send our heart felt condolences to the Verl goodpaster family. I have known and been friends with Verle since we were four or five years old, and was friends with his mother and father. It is our prayers at this time that God will give you the comfort and grace you will need to face the coming days with many great thoughts and memories. God Bless all of you.

Verle was such a sweet man with a big smile as you would enter church always making you feel welcome. He will be missed by so many. Justin and I send our condolences and prayers for the family and close friends as they grieve.
