Mary Ellen Pratt Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1913 - 2016 Mary Ellen Pratt, 102, of Huntington, formerly of Salt Rock, WV, passed away April 11, 2016. She was born December 13, 1913, in Salt Rock, WV, a daughter of the late Oscar McComas and Ella Vannatter McComas. She was a member of Salt Rock Methodist Church and over 50 year member of Hamlin Chapter #106 Order of Eastern Star. She was past Worthy Matron and past officer of W.V. Grand Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. She was also preceded in death by one son Clifford Gayle Pratt; brothers Raymond McComas, Trueheart McComas, Billy Bud McComas, and C.G. McComas; sisters Peggy McComas, Emma Self, Ruby Adkins and Ruth Bailey. She is survived by one daughter Lillian Pauley of Huntington; one son John W. Pratt II of Huntington; grandchildren Rusty (Karen) Pauley, David (Dawn) Pauley, John Allen (Kimberly) Pratt, and Kimberly Lynn Pratt; step grandsons Joshua and Ben Purvis; seven great grandchildren Kaala (Quentin)Guess, Kirsten, and Katherine Pauley, Domenick Allen, Wesley Allen, Kalleigh Grace and Carter Jennings Allen; several nieces and nephews; special friends Linda Porter, Sis White, Joyce Hightower and a host of friends and relatives. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, and after 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Enon Cemetery with the procession leaving the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Friday. I am so sorry that I can't make it to Mary's funeral. Such a great lady and I am glad that I got the chance to know her.

I am so sorry , I didn't know Mary long but I got close to her and this breaks my heart . She will be missed .
