Patricia Ann “Trish” Simpson, 70, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2016, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born October 25, 1946, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Homer Joseph Jordan and Nora Lavonia Adkins Jordan. She is survived by her son, Michael Simpson of Huntington, and special “daughter,” friend, and caregiver, Connie Richards; one brother, Clayton Harold Jordan of Huntington; two grandchildren, Kristin Michelle Simpson Wyrick and Derek Michael Simpson; two great grandchildren, Zoey Renee Wyrick and Nekoda Joshua Wyrick; “adopted” grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, and Trace “Wes” D’Errico, Ronnette Leigh Bias; “adopted” great-grandchildren, Shaleigh Dawn Bias and Jordan Alexander D’Errico; and Jeffrey L. Newberg who was a close friend of the family and was thought of as a son. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Buddy Muncy. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
