 Gregory Alan “Goober” Kearns, 61, of Huntington, passed away December 26, 2016. He was born January 5, 1955 in Huntington, WV, a son of Louise M. Kearns of Ormond Beach, FL and the late James R. "Bob" Kearns. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susan E. Kearns. Greg is survived by brother, James R. "Rob" Kearns, Jr. of Huntington; sister, LuAnn Kearns of Ormond Beach, FL; nephew, Joshua P. (Rachael) Kearns of Raleigh, NC; niece, Amanda K. (Thomas) Aykroid and their children Addison and Gabriel of York, SC; his girlfriend, Deborah "Bunny" Hoffsted of Huntington. Greg served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church where he leaves behind many good friends. He will be missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at Crossroads United Methodist Church, Huntington, by Pastor Joseph Hill. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville and after 12 p.m. noon Friday at the church. Sorry for the loss of Goober.i knew him back in tge early 80s great guy.havent seen him nor susan since then.RIP Goober an Susan.great people now together again.

Lou, Rob, Luann and Bunny, I feel so deeply the loss of Greg. He and I became close during the period of my mothers stay at Huntington Health and Rehab Hospital. Greg brought her gifts and shared good times together with us. He is missed!
