1928 - 2017
 Ruth Naomi Vance, 88, of Barboursville, WV, left this world on January 24, 2017. A lifelong resident of Barboursville, she was born February 17, 1928, to the late Thomas D. Gibson and Madge E. Lilly Gibson. She was the oldest of their six children. In addition to her parents, she was precede in death by her husband Billy E. Vance, two brothers, Robert R. Gibson and Charles R. Gibson (Lightning), and one sister, Bessie Gibson Bates. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Vance Murphy and husband, Ted; two sisters, Virginia Vance and Helen Kuhn; two grandchildren, Trent Murphy (Karla) and Kristyn Rodvill (Derrick); three great-grandchildren, Alexander and Maddox Rodvill and Jonathan Fernatt (Rachel); and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, with funeral services beginning at 12 p.m. by Rev. Mike Lucas.
