Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Rev. Ron Burnsworth officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born June 15, 1919 in Blairsburg, Iowa, a son of the late Seward Dudley Lemley and Charlotte Huffman Lemley. He was a retired chief clerk with Zone Accounting with the Chessie System. He was a World War II veteran serving in the US Army with the Flying Tigers. Our father and grandfather was a kind, generous and loving man. He taught us all so much about what it is to live your word. He let his actions show us all about what a good man is. He made our mother and grandmother Ruth very happy, they had a great life together and our now reunited again in Heaven. They shared their happiness with all of us. We always felt special in their presence. He taught us about life, about nature, how to do things the right way. He was a pet lover, a fisherman and more importantly the best man we knew. We would not be prouder of the man he was and the lessons he shared with us that we are privileged to carry with us in our lives. He loved us all and we all loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Luvada Scragg Lemley, one daughter, Norma Bellomy, and one brother, John Lemley. He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Vassalotti and her husband Ron of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Ruth Moslander of Huntington, and Nancy Burger and her husband Charles of Dayton, OH; one son, Charles Moslander of Huntington; five granddaughters, Sherri Pierson, Shelli Smiley and her husband Gary, Amy Burger, Lori Osterholm and her husband Matt, and Sarah Massie and her husband Derek; and great grandchildren, Jessi Hand, Dustin Pierson, Derick Pierson, Madeleine Osterholm, Emma Osterholm and Andrew Massie.
