Leslie Fred ErwinLeslie Fred Erwin, 90, of Ona, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Paul Meadows. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born November 2, 1927, in Huntington, a son of the late Frank and Alta Ferrell Erwin. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Ross and Jeanie Hamlin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, with 13 years of service and also served during the Korean War. He was a retired employee of AEP and was a member to the American Legion Post 16, Huntington. He is survived by his wife, Recie Adkins Erwin; two daughters, Karen Eubanks and Renee Erwin, both of Ona; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Carla Erwin of Ona and Darrell and Nancy Erwin of Thornton, Texas; two sisters and brother-in-law, Theresa Bradshaw of Lakeland, FL and Iris and Tom McCoy of Barboursville; one brother and sister-in-law, Everette and Michiko Erwin; grandchildren, Kristy Lewis, Sgt. Justin and Samantha Erwin, stationed in Germany, and Brittany Eubanks, all of Ona; and great-grandchildren, Kaysen and Kayden Erwin. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
