Ruth Evelyn AdkinsRuth Evelyn Adkins, 95, of Barboursville, WV, went to be with her Lord June 30, 2018. She was born the third child of six June 16, 1923 to Sarah and Charles Jenkins. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1941. In 1942 it was here that she met and married the love of her life, Wallace G. Ruth was the owner-operator of Adkins Drape ‘n Stitch, Huntington for 50 years. Family was so important to her no matter how far away they were. She was a devout believer and a passionate contributor to multiple Christian ministries. At Christmastime she would make dolls for the children at the City Mission. She gave food baskets to those in need and would help anyone asking for assistance. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. The family would like to extend special thanks to Melissa Brickles for her tender loving care of their mother and the staff of Madison Park, Huntington.
