David Allen WolfordDavid Allen Wolford, 62, of Milton, WV, passed away on July 7, 2018, after a hard fought battle. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday July 13th at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Rev. Patrick Ryan of Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be held from 6-8 on Thursday July 12th at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, WV. David was married to Rose Walters on December 19, 1981; they were married 36 years. David was born in Milton, WV on October 24, 1955. He graduated from Milton High School in 1973. David proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973-1977. David worked as a Signal Maintainer for the Chessie System Railroad for over 35 years. David is preceded in death by by his parents William and Leona (Woodard) Wolford of Milton, his grandparents Ivan and Dorthea (Gillispie) Woodard. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law James “Jim" Walters and brother-in-law Thom Walters both of Barboursville, WV. David is survived by his wife Rose Anne (Walters) Wolford, his children Valerie Anne (A.J.) Wood of Culloden, and William “Bill" David Wolford of Milton. He was the proud Papaw of Gabriella “Gabby" Wood. He is also survived by his Mother-in-law Frances Walters of Barboursville, a Brother-in-law James Walters of Wilmington, NC and other loving family members, friends, former co-workers, his beloved dog Sarge and a brother. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or a Veterans organization of your choice. Rose, Valerie and David, Was so sadden to read of David's passing, our family goes back many years on the Woodard side. Hold onto the wonderful memories you have as a family. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers
