Wanda Powers LewisWanda Powers Lewis, 75, of Milton, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was born August 23, 1942. She was preceded in death by her father, Strickling Powers and mother, Violet Powell Powers. Also a sister, Sandra Stowasser, and brother-in-law, Vinson Stowasser. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dalton W. Lewis of Milton, W.Va.; a son, Kevin Barry Lewis and daughter-in-law, Judith McCoy Lewis of Spartanburg, S.C.; a daughter, Michelle Lewis Kelley and son-in-law, Dallas Kelley II of Milton, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Morgan Kelley Ruley and her husband, Colton Ruley of Ashland, KY., Kevin Parker Lewis of Spartanburg, S.C. and Chandler Lewis Kelley of Milton, W.Va.; brother, Gary Lee Powers of Milton, W.Va.; and a sister Karen Corey of Russell, KY. Wanda was a graduate of Milton High School and held a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree from Marshall University. She was retired from Putnam County Schools. She also was a lifetime member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. She loved the beach, friends, and family, but especially her three grandchildren. She would go to any length to watch her grandchildren play sports and cherished every moment with them. She was loved by many and will be missed. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Chelcie Gibson and Rev. Mark Hesson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Fraziers Bottom, W.Va. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Dalton, We are so sorry to learn of Wanda's death. We know you will certainly miss her,but I'm sure you will cherish those precious memories. May God bless and comfort you. (In case you didn't know, Jewell passed away 12/16/17)
