Hersel Garron Ross, 74, of Branchland, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Edwin Harper. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery, Branchland. He was born June 20, 1944, in Cabell County, WV, son of the late Hersel and Halsie Childers Ross. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois Evon Ross; brother, Tilmon Ross; granddaughter, Amy Mays; and brother-in-law, Eppie Hatfield. He is survived by three daughters, Sheila Mays (Ira), Sherry Parsons (Terry), and Thelma Ross (Alan); two sons, Leo Alberts (Rebecca) and Gregory Perry (Teresa); five sisters, Marcella Hatfield, Jerrien Scragg (Roger), Anita Walker (Joe), Kathy Wilson (Glenn), and Priscilla Ross (Tom); and one brother, Gregory Ross (Barbara); 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
