1931 - 2018
Uldine Keeling Handley, 87, of Hurricane, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born on June 9, 1931 and was a graduate of Hurricane High School. Uldine was privileged to serve her Lord and Savior as the pianist for First Baptist Church of Hurricane, WV. Through this service she was honored to accompany numerous solists, choirs, and ensembles. Her unique expressive accompaniment drew people to request her services for weddings and funerals state-wide. As a well requested pianist, she utilized her talents to teach piano lessons and accompany high school choirs and civic groups. Uldine was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Kathryn (Hager) Keeling. Surviving family members include her devoted husband of 68 years, Carl F. Handley, son Carl F. Handley II (Sandy) of Fayetteville, AR, sisters Palmanita G. Keeling, Connie Keeling Dawson and Ginger Lewis, two nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Hurricane by Pastor Jeff Davenport. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements. My deepest condolences to the Handley Family on the lost of your dear loved one our average life span is 70yrs or 80yrs if especially strong (Psalm 90:10) Ms Handley lived beyond that living a full life may you find comfort in God's promise that we will be able to see our loved ones again (John 5:28,29)
