Donald Eugene “Gene” Jarrell, 78, husband of Judith Kay Chapman Jarrell, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born January 18, 1941, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Joe and Vinie Messer Jarrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Jarrell; four brothers, Carroll Jr., Jack, Homer and Bobby; and a sister Betty McChristian. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Judith Jarrell and his children, Gloria Jean Jarrell and Billy Joe Jarrell; and a sister Dinah Bragg (Donald); granddaughter, Katie Clark (Andy) and her children, Aulani and Keoni. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastor Pete Davidson officiating.
