Phyllis Jean Lucas, 84, of Milton, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Mark Finley. Burial will be in Templeton Cemetery. She was born June 14, 1934 in Milton, a daughter of the late Robert Ray and Elsie Mae Hicks Hayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, former Milton Police Chief, Ray Lucas, one son, Bobby Lucas four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Rodney Oxley of Milton and her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Sherry Lucas of Houston, TX; grandchildren and their spouses, Joseph Lucas, Timothy and Melissa Lucas, Jr., MiRanda and Robbie Howington, Kelsea and Brandon Smallwood, Christopher and Kim Surawski, Anthony and Kyra Lucas and Katelyn and Cory Bartram; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Dakota, Joshua, Mercedes, Robert, Sophia, Timmy, Brylan, Brooke and Gannon; the family would like to especially thank her niece, Kelly Woodard for her kindness and care during this difficult time.
