Dee Dee please accept my deepest sympathy. I was so sad to hear of Merle's passing. I loved him so much, he always made mine and Joy's little outings so fun. I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it to the viewing or funeral but my heart and thoughts were there with you all. Heaven gained an angel like no other. Love and prayers to you and the family during this difficult time.

Merle was my oldest cousin in the Grove Family.
I am proud that he was one of my favorite cousins too. As Merle once said "you can choose your friends but you can't choose your relatives." But I would choose him anytime.
He was a great athlete and I loved watching him play baseball and basketball and he could play left or right handed. He always had something going to make you laugh.
As cousins all living in Barboursville were very close having family reunions through the years.
Last October we took at trip to Barboursville to visit relatives and enjoyed our visit with Merle.
Our love to DeeDee, Jay and his family, Mickey and Barbara.
Your cousins, Ronnie & Marilyn Risher
