Leandria, Steve and Joe, I am so sorry for your loss. I am devastated by Roberta's passing. She was my closest first cousin and we were like sisters when we were growing up and into our young adult years. She was so charismatic. I have very happy memories of the two summers that I spent with her and Aunt Martha and Uncle Bob--in 1964 and 1970--two of the best summers of my life, playing with Barbie dolls and paper dolls, riding bikes with Steve on the "turnpike" on Meadowbrook Drive, eating tons of pb&j sandwiches (1964); sunbathing on the back deck, reading pulp fiction and dating boys from Pt. Pleasant High School, hanging out at Fruth's Pharmacy (1970). I'll never forget when Roberta brought her daughter Leandria for a long visit with my family in Arlington, VA in Jan. 1976. I was in grad school at Georgetown University. Roberta got a job and found a day care for Leandria and was planning to move to Arlington, but her mother nixed the idea and got on a plane and came and got them. Leandria, do you remember hearing about this from your mother? Please feel free to contact me at carolinetryon@msn.com or on Facebook.

Lee, I am so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. I was shocked to learn of this. I haven't seen T in years, prior to our move to Lexington, but she was a hard worker and a "hoot" to be around. I know that she loved you and those grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Lyle

So sad to hear that “Bert” is gone. She was a beautiful woman and was a good friend to me, when we were younger. So sorry for your loss Steve!

It was with a heavy heart when I learned about the passing of Roberta. My memories of Her are from my early childhood mostly at See See and Pa's. I remember Easter Egg hunts and sleigh riding with Her and how pretty She was. She always reminded me of Her Dad Uncle Bob. Kind of quiet but funny at the same time. My thoughts and prayers will be Her family and with Her as well. Rest in peace Roberta.

I graduated with Roberta and we used to hang out some-especially we were in Girl Scouts together. Her Mom was one of my leaders at one time. I had not seen her since graduation but wanted you to know I was thinking of you and saying a prayer. So sorry for your loss.

My heart is broken for you Leandria. Your mom was a shining Star! A ball of fire and a sprinkle of fairy dust. There’s not many like her. I’ll forever remember the Notre Dame trip (remember the bird? and all the fun we had. You’ll forever have a special place in our hearts She has her sparkly wings and she’ll forever b with you and watch over her baby girl and all the babies. May God bless you, be with you and provide you with peace and comfort We love me????????????
