
Sharon Kay Dillon Blake, 73, of Mint Hill, North Carolina, went to be with her Lord May 31, 2021. Born in Barboursville, West Virginia on November 30, 1947, Sharon graduated from Barboursville High School and received a B.A. from Marshall University followed with a M.A. from Towson State University. She was married to John Wade Blake on December 21, 1968. Sharon had a career in teaching. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail and had a passion for Jesus and her family. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV) She was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Gladys Dillon; sister, Mary Ann (late husband Lyle); and brother, Jimmy (late wife Carol). In addition to her husband, Sharon was survived by her daughters, Marci Bennett and husband, Mike, Paige Summey and husband, Brandon, and Susan Seward and husband, Tony; her grandchildren, Christopher and Rachel Bennett, and Ryan and Skylar Summey; her brother, Jerry Dillon and wife, Judy; her sister, Susie Fry and her late husband, Larry; and other extended family dear to her heart. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville.
