 Norman Lester “Shorty” Burks, 85, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 14, 2021. He was born December 27, 1935 in Barboursville, WV, a son of the late Lon and Nora Cremeans Burks. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Beulah Collins and three brothers, Harry Burks, Buddy Burks and Irvin Burks. He is survived by his wife Dolores Jean Evans Burks, one son, Danny Burks of Huntington; one grandson, Jesse Lee Burks and his wife Autumn of Huntington; one great grandson, Mason Burks; and two sisters, Eva Watson and Jean Casey, both of Barboursville. Services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Fred Ramey officiating.
