Goldie Marie Walker Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1947 - 2021 Goldie Marie Walker, 74, of Barboursville, passed away October 23, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park. She was born March 6, 1947 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Willie Gray and Margaret Smith Welch. She was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Gray. Marie is survived by her husband, James Walker; brother, Thomas Gray and several nieces and nephews, including a special great-nephew, D. J. Sheppard. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

We laughed so much together. We had soo many good times. Taking care of Jimmy was a pleasure and being your nephew was wonderful. I am glad you loved me the way you did.

I met Marie and a Jimmy years ago and there’s no doubt God allowed our paths to cross. She quickly grabbed a big piece of mine and my family’s heart. We shared lots of laughs and fun times. My prayers are for Jimmy and family that will miss her greatly.

Goldie provides my best memories of our 20th class reunion. I had not been back to Huntington so knew few people there but Goldie welcomed me with her big smile and even made my NYC husband feel noticed. I treasure her open arms.
