1938 - 2022
 Hez Richard “Old Blue” Mills, 83, of Barboursville, WV, went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2022, at home. He was born July 2, 1938, in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Hez and Goldie Lusher Mills. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Rosa Jean Ross Mills; sister, Marcella Wilmoth, and Betty Johnson. He retired from Steel of WV with 37 ½ years of service and was a member of Gloryway Baptist Church. He is survived by second wife, Patricia Ann Davis Mills; one daughter, Helen Kay and Jerry Atteberry; one son, Richard A. and Linda Mills; two sisters, Charlene Cryser and Peggy Mays; one brother, Buddie Mills; three grandchildren, Richie Mills, Alan Atteberry, and Brian Atteberry; three great grandchildren, Jaxon Atteberry, Kinley Atteberry, Camryn Hunter; two great great grandchildren, Rose Atteberry and David Mills; and many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to their close family, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, Pastor David Cardwell. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. I don't think there are any words that can describe my uncle Rich.. Rich was a man that would give his shirt if someone needed it. His love, compassion and love will be missed along with making us all laugh. He was the light of the room when you he was present.. his spirit was as humble as an angel, and as big as the world. There are no words that can say how much he will be missed - he was the corner stone of our family and the time I spent with him will forever be in my heart. I know that God is now taking very good care of a person that was so precious to so many. I love you so much Rich, and my prayers go out to Richard and Linda, Pat and all the family. your in my prayers and thoughts... I know now your in the place you've worked to be, and that is in the presence of your heavenly father, and the beautiful heaven. You won't have any more pain.. and no more worries.... you are now made whole.... I'll see you in heaven.
