Dear Mabel: I am so sorry about the passing of your mom. She and my grandmother, Ida Adkins, both worked very hard and lived a long life. I have many fond and wonderful memories of growing up with our families. Your mom did so much for all of us and my family. I remember spending times together at school and church at Beech Fork. I wish I could’ve been there with you today, but I could not leave my husband—he’s very immobile. Deloris and Cheryl have both passed away, and Donna’s husband is currently very sick. Karen and James are out of town with their families for Thanksgiving. Your family is in our prayers.
