1954 - 2023

Deborah Ann Herrald HaleDeborah Ann Herrald Hale, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Debbie, or Deb as she was known to those she loved dearly, is now at peace with her Savior Jesus Christ, after fiercely battling lung cancer for some time. She is reunited in Heaven with her husband Donald Rex Hale, father William Herrald, mother Jacqueline Dyer Herrald, beloved baby brother Charles "Chuckie" Herrald and her truest friend & "puppy dog" Hunnie, that she so looked forward to meeting again one day. Debbie was a graduate of Charleston High School, Huntington Junior College of Business and obtained her cosmetology license from Carver Beauty Academy. She was most recently employed as a caretaker and held several certifications in her field. Not only did she love to care for others physically, she loved to care for the soul by making clients feel beautiful when doing their hair. She lived her life with the motto "don't worry, be happy" and will be remembered for being a shining ray of positivity to every friend she encountered, as she never met a stranger. Family was everything to Debbie and she will be forever missed by her daughter Brittany Hale and daughter-in-law Alecia Hale; as well as by her grandchildren, the true joys of her life, Jaicelyn, Chase and Xayden Kay. She is also survived by her son, whom she loved unconditionally, Brenton Hale. She cherished her three brothers and as she would say, their "better halves": Donnie Herrald (Patricia Herrald), Mason Herrald (Mabel Kraus), and William "Billy" Herrald (Mary Sue Taylor.) She leaves behind a host of nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews that she loved having the privilege of watching grow up. A special piece of her heart will always remain with her fiancé Ronnie Rose, as she was so grateful to have found a second chance at love with such a kind-hearted man. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Monday July 24, 2023 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel. Friends may visit from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service. All are welcome to attend to pay respects or share fond memories. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
