 Elizabeth Fern Cremeans, 100, of Huntington passed away October 9, 2023. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery. She was born January 24, 1923 in Branchland, a daughter of the late Alie and Hattie Adkins Pratt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wedsel Cremeans. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Evans of Huntington and one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Susan Cremeans of Crown City, OH; sister, Lavona Frye, of Ona, WV; four grandchildren, Todd and Mendy Cremeans, Chris Cremeans, Drew Evans and Chad Evans; and four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Braden and Annie Cremeans and Aubree Evans. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Subrat K. Lahiry for his loving care and friendship for many years. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. Friday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. I remember when I was 10 years old, I got hit by a car right in front of Mrs. Cremeans house and she came tearing down her little side porch to get to me. I was startled by her strong response because I had always been used to her gentle and kind demeanor and then, suddenly, she was swift to the rescue. I went to her home many times as a small child. She and her husband were so kind to me every single time. Cheryl...my deepest condolences. Loss of the Mother is the hardest pain. I will always remember her, have often thought of your parents. So sorry.
