 Alka Jean Crews, 90, of Barboursville, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor David Lambert. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born December 9, 1932, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of the late Beverly Clark and Sophia Bolt Mellon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William G. Crews; daughter, Jenny Lou Colvin; sister, Mary Jo Moon; two brothers, Beverly Clark Mellon Jr. and Leslie Mellon; and grandson, Spencer Gregory Crews. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Jean and David Lambert of Kitts Hill, Ohio; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Greg and Gina Crews of Barboursville and John David and Hazel Crews of Bargersville, IN; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Mended Reeds Group Home, Ironton, Ohio.
