Denver Lee Thomas, 87, of Milton, W.Va., died on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his residence. Denver was the oldest child of the late, James Arnold and Clara Ruth Ferrell Thomas. He was the grandson of the late, James Walter and Leah Varney Thomas and the late, Bernie Eugene and Viola Magdaline Reeder Ferrell. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Janelle. He was born on Thanksgiving Day November 28, 1935 in Banco, Logan County, W.Va. He was married to Gladys Farley Thomas in Berea, Madison County, Ky. on September 22, 1956 by Dr. Ross. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, his two sons, Darrell Wayne (Karen) and Paul Edward (Janeta) and two grandsons, Jeremiah (Holley) and Jacy as well as two great grandchildren, Jack and Harper. He is also survived by a younger brother, James Lowell (Lois). He has been an active member of the Church of Christ for many years. Per his request there will be no services. Private burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Godby, Logan County, W.Va. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements.
