Lora Belle Hicks, 95, of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 24, 2023. She was born May 13, 1928 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Mabel LeGrand. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hicks and by three siblings, Thelma Mae Henderson, Charles LeGrand and Bill "Buddy" LeGrand. She is survived by one daughter, Angela Pitts (Michael); four sons, Allen Hicks (Joyce), Montie Hicks (Teresa), Randy Hicks and Steven Hicks; 12 grandchildren, Tanya Sansom (Terry), Valerie Jobe (Richie), Christie Church (Brian), Shawn Hicks (Jessica), Jason Hicks (Traci), Tiffany Perry (Brian), Cassie Chapman (Jared), Brittany Holmgren (Chris), Marissa Mercer (Brandon), Matthew Hicks (Megan), Justin Pitts (Sarah) and Zachary Pitts; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends. She was a second mother to Chuck Jones and Sam Smith. She has been a faithful member to Bethel Worship Center and Pastor Kevin Shull has been her Pastor for over 20 years. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Kevin Shull officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
