1951 - 2023
Mark Alan Turley, 72, of Milton, WV, passed away November 29, 2023. He was born September 10, 1951, in Milton, WV, son of Mary Maxine Morrison Turley and the late Azel G. Turley. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Lara Danielle Turley Carder. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Sue Castleberry Turley; four children Daryl Alan Turley (Tricia), Joel Ryan Turley (Tamara), Carissa Nicole Turley (Andrew Phillips), and Samuel Elisha Carder Turley; two brothers David Turley (Leslie) and Dana Turley (Brenda); one sister Martha Turley; five grandchildren Luke, Isaiah, Clara, Noah, and Jonas. Mark graduated from Huntington East High School and Marshall University. He left his mark on every workplace that was part of his extensive career and retired from Praxair. He was the jack of all trades and the master of many. He was generally interested in tinkering and figuring out how things worked and he loved to use that gift to bless others - one of his favorite ways to express his faith in Christ. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family in whatever adventurous capacity that might be, but especially boating, camping and road-tripping. ALS challenged Mark over this last year and he took it on as an important project to be figured out in order to get the best out of his time with his loved ones. Mark is a much-loved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was reMARKable. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Rev. Greg Creasy. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to WV Baptist Camp at Cowen (https://campcowen.org/give) or The ALS Association. (https://www.als.org/). Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I am Ken Fox- before owning Magic Makers Costumes, I performed as a gospel magician, with the New Born religious music band, that traveled the country- Mark was involved with the sound and lighting of the band.
I never knew a most kind hearted, pleasant, Christian person. I send my condolences to Carolyn and family- Ken Fox
