
Earl Iven Fetty, 98, of Ona, WV, went home to Heaven to join his family and friends already there. He was born August 9, 1925, in Milton, WV, son of the late Dim Iven Fetty and Ida Ethyl Brumfield Fetty. Earl was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was retired from Conner’s Steel in Huntington, WV. He was a long-time member of Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church of Ona and through the years was a trustee, assistant choir director and adult Sunday school teacher. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ruthetta Jean Gibson Fetty; one son Roger Charles Fetty; siblings Okal Davis, Orland Fetty, Irland Fetty, Lucille Bostic, Kenneth Fetty and Valkie Fetty. He is survived by his children Ronnie Lee Fetty (Sharon), Nona Gay Rimmer (John), Randy Earl Fetty (Gail), and Cindy Dawn Davis (Robert); three sisters, Eloise Hinkle, Doris Neal, and Betty Miller; one brother David Fetty; ten grandchildren Chris Fetty, Jeffery Fetty (Ileene), Juli Lovejoy (Michael), Joseph Rimmer (Tracy), Jody Rimmer (Jeff Hull), Eric Fetty (Stephanie), Reuben Fetty, Renita Hysell, Rene Sansom (Justin), Rebekah Balog (Andrew); great-grandchildren Jeff DelRosario, Jennifer Fetty, Imaly Fetty, Todd Lovejoy, Tabitha Weddington (Adam), Karsyn Lovejoy, Mason Rimmer (Sarah), Caleb Rimmer, Jackson Fetty, Ella Fetty, Luke Fetty, Preston Hysell, Dominic Sansom, Cassidi Sansom, Abigail Sansom, Lilyana Balog, Blake King and Cora Jarrett; great-great-grandchildren Noah DelRosario, Onyx DelRosario, Elli Simpson, Ronni Weddington, Alden Weddington, Graham Rimmer. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2023 at Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church, Ona, WV, by Pastor Jeff Fetty and Pastor Greg Lunsford. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.
