James William Adkins Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1952 - 2023 James William Adkins, 71, of Branchland, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jason McComas. Burial will be in Eaves Cemetery. He was born August 11, 1952, in Huntington, a son of the late Virgil and Effie Eaves Adkins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Joe Adkins. He is survived by one daughter, Alisha Adkins; one son, Johnny Adkins; four sisters, Mildred Beheler, Anna Stephenson, Sue Conway, and Mary Lou Stapleton; five brothers, Carsel Adkins, Robert Adkins, Moses Adkins, Cletis Adkins, and Matthew Adkins; five grandchildren, Noah, Jesse, Jayson, Clarissa, and Jacob; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
