1940 - 2023
 Rev. Ronald Eplin, 83, of Salt Rock, WV, went home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2023. He was born July 10, 1940, in Logan, WV, son of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Lucas Eplin. He was also preceded in death by his brother Morris Eplin. He is survived by the love of his life of 62 years Dorothy “Dottie” Porter Eplin; his children Tim Eplin (Kim) of Huntington, Tami Chapman (Rex) of Salt Rock, and Tarah Perry (J.G.) of Hurricane of whom he said it was a joy to be their dad; four sisters JoAnn Stephenson, Helen Watts, Christina Grose, Barbara Carico (Gary); two brothers Lawrence “Buddy” Eplin (Janis) and Keith Eplin (Shawna); four grandchildren Jared (Cassie), Jennifer (Evan), Mason (Bre), and Grant; seven great grandchildren; brother-in-law Danny Porter (Debby) and sister-in-law Kathy Clark (Keith). Ronald pastored several churches over the years and made many friends while serving the Lord. He enjoyed attending church, studying and teaching God’s word and gospel singing. His godly character and influence on our lives will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, Pastor James Jobe and Rev. Jesse Lacy. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington, neighbors, and friends for all of their care and kindness. Blossom and family, my heart hurts for you all. What a wonderful legacy he has left to his family.
Always a smile when I saw him at our old timers lunches. Anyone could tell you and he were deeply in love. Please know my prayers are with you and the babies.
