Mitchell Ray Blankenship, 71, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery, Huntington. He was born November 3, 1952, in Wayne, WV, a son of the late Samuel Blankenship and Violet Cregut. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shanna Blankenship and one brother, Doug Blankenship. He is survived by one daughter, Candis Blankenship of Huntington; one son, Chad Chaffin of South Point, Ohio; six sisters, Joyce Blankenship, Sharon Blankenship, Jackie Cregut, Carlene Wilson, Darlene Cregut and Samantha Ash; one brother, Duane Cregut; and three grandchildren, Trey Blankenship, Abigail Blankenship, and Shelby Blankenship.
