1946 - 2023
On December 20, 2023, our beloved Jaqulynne "Susie" Cabell Hall went home to meet her Lord and join her family in Heaven. Susie, 77, of Barboursville, was preceded in death by her parents Doug and Lillian Cabell, brother Baxter Cabell and sister Charlotte Jeffrey. She now joins her husband of 55 years Darrell Hall, who passed away 9 months ago. Surviving are her only child Amy Jaqulynne Hall and grandson Cabell Hall. She was a lifelong member of Roach Baptist Church where she held the position of choir leader and treasurer. Susie retired from Sears in 2007 after 30 plus years in the personnel department. Beginning as a payroll assistant at the old 29th St. Store to becoming a "Trainer of the Year" and attending the award ceremony in Chicago at the top of the Sears Building. My momma wasn’t just a special lady, she was a teacher, a nurturer and a friend. Her compassion for people uplifted those around her. If you knew Susie you knew love and always with a smile on her face and a kind word. She loved her family and her savior with fervor. Many through the years would say, "You’re so lucky to have her for a mom!" I agree one thousand percent! She was love, compassion, empathy and hope all in one. Thank you Momma, I love you. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I worked with Susie at old 29th St store as well as at the mall. Never have I met a sweeter, nicer, or more loving woman than her! My deepest sympathies and prayers for all she left behind.

Amy and Cabell. My heart is broken but encouraged that she is with your dad and her precious family. What a wonderful daughter you have been and taking care of both mom and dad over the years. May you find peace in knowing we will be with her again. ❤️
