1949 - 2024

Linda Sue WallaceLinda Sue Wallace, 74, of Huntington, West Virginia, was welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord and her beloved daughter, Amy, on January 13, 2024. Linda was born May 11, 1949, in Milton, to Susie Black Wallace and Peter Wallace. She is survived by her dear identical twin sister, Donna Lou Wallace Clagg, with whom she shared an immeasurable bond; two cherished grandsons Luke Dempsey and Mason Dempsey (Akari) and their son, Miles; a nephew Jimmie Clagg (Ray); nieces Lisa Hagley and Leslie Damon and their families, of Georgia, and Missy Clagg Morrison (Brian); grand-niece Lexi Browning (Marcus); special family friend, Tammy Hutchinson; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Smith Dempsey; her mother and father; and a brother, Calvin Jenkins. Linda was a graduate of Hannan High School, where she was a majorette with her sister, Donna. She also was a business owner and entrepreneur. Linda enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and was a longtime member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church. She will forever be remembered for her resilience, kindness, generosity, and unconditional love, which she gave freely and without exception. She was a caretaker at heart, who looked after friends, neighbors, family, and strangers alike. Linda will be deeply missed, and her legacy continues through her family and all the lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, her family encourages acts of kindness for those in need — be it a meal, a hug, or a hearty laugh. A private family celebration of Linda’s homegoing will be conducted at a later date at Forest Memorial Park Mausoleum. Condolences and fond memories can be shared with the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. Wallace Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

I grew up near Linda. She was a kind lady. Cared a lot about people that lived in the area Rest in peace.

So many fun times and great after-church dinners at Linda's and her mom's house years ago. What a great sense of humor, beautiful smile, and big heart. She will be missed. Condolences to her family.

I’m so sorry to hear about Linda. She could light up a room with her smile and had a heart of gold.
