
In Loving Memory of Sabrina Sue Lewis, 51, of South Charleston, WV - It is with mixed emotions that we announce the passing of our beloved Sabrina, who departed this world on January 26, 2024. While her journey in life was not without its challenges, she leaves behind a complex legacy that teaches us about resilience, redemption, and the transformative power of love.
Born on February 21, 1972 in West Hamlin, WV, daughter of Lyndall and Deborah Cupp Williams of Culloden, WV. She is survived by her daughter Cheré Robertson of Milton, and her adored grandchildren Elena and Carter; sisters Melissa Arnold of Alabama and Kristina Burden of Culloden, WV. She is preceded in death by her fiancé Robert “Nino” Gonzales of South Charleston, WV.
Though Sabrina navigated a life filled with hurdles, and struggled with self-challenges, in time, Sabrina embarked on a path to healing and self-discovery. Through her ongoing journey, she found solace and strength in her faith, discovering a deep connection with God. This newfound spiritual connection became a guiding force in her life, providing her with comfort, hope, and the courage to confront her personal demons
In recent years, Sabrina embraced the role of a doting grandmother with unparalleled enthusiasm and love. Her grandchildren became the light of her life, and she seized every opportunity to shower them with affection, creating cherished memories that will be forever ingrained in their hearts.
Beyond the challenges she faced, Sabrina possessed a genuine desire to connect with others on a profound level. She expressed her love through simple gestures, words of encouragement, and acts of kindness that touched the lives of those around her. Her transformation serves as a reminder of the incredible capacity for growth and change that resides within every individual.
We acknowledge the triumphs achieved during her later years. The steps she took towards healing, her perseverance and newfound faith, demonstrated her resolute spirit and her unwavering commitment to becoming the best version of herself.
In celebration of Sabrina’s life, a memorial service will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Grace Wesleyan Church, Charley’s Creek Road, Culloden WV. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made out to Wallace Funeral Home, Milton WV to help cover funeral expenses.
I honor the memory of my mother and the moments I had with her. In her passing, I extend forgiveness and offer gratitude for the love she wholeheartedly poured into the lives of my children, her grandchildren. May she find the peace and serenity that eluded her in life, and may her memory inspire us all to be compassionate, understanding, and resilient in the face of adversity.
