Bertha Lillian Sowards Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1929 - 2024 Bertha Lillian Sowards, 94, of Culloden, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton by Pastor Lafe Meade. Burial will be in Culloden Cemetery. She was born May 5, 1929 in Culloden, a daughter of the late Pete and Hazel McCallister Davis. She was a member of Sousanah F.W.B. Church, Culloden, and a member of the O.E.S. #116, Hurricane. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sowards. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Spurlock of Lexington, KY, and Rhonda Ledbetter of Hot Springs, CA; one son, Bruce Sowards, Culloden, WV; three grandchildren, Kristina Howard (Kevin), Tim Sowards (Summer), and Travis Sowards; and two great-grandchildren, Maci Sowards and Cameron Howard. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.coma/wallace.
