Clarence “Lee” Golden, Jr., 56 from Milton, WV, formerly of Ripley, WV, passed away February 27, 2024, at Glasgow Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Lee was born May 1, 1967, the son of the late Clarence “Chuck” Golden and Joann Green. He was a 1985 graduate of Ripley High School. He joined the United States Army in 1986 and was honorably discharged in 1990, he then served in the United States Army Reserves. He later joined the United States Navy in 1999 and was honorably discharged in 2003.
He is survived by his wife Deloris “DeeDee” Golden and daughter Jessica Golden from Sandston, VA, daughter Andrea Golden and grandsons Ben and Tom Becker from Pirmasens, Germany, and special cousins that he thought of as siblings, Charmin McCarty and T.J. Cunningham from Ripley, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Ray and Wanda Golden, his aunt Cathy Golden Murphy, and his brother John Golden.
To honor his wishes, Lee was cremated and a memorial service with full military rights by American Legion Post 107, will be held by the lake at Parchment Valley Baptist Center, Ripley, WV at a later date.
