 Loella “Tootsie” Adkins, 83, of East Lynn, WV, passed away October 16, 2024. She was born September 15, 1941, in East Lynn, WV, daughter of the late Freelin Simpkins and Inez Crockett Simpkins. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Asbury Adkins; one daughter Sandy Thompson (Travis) of Laurelville, OH; four sons Kerry Adkins of East Lynn, Gary Adkins (Marla) of Huntington, Homer Adkins of St. Albans, and Randy Adkins (Brittany) of Huntington; one brother John Simpkins (Brenda) of Wayne; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Minister Emual Adkins and Minister Brian Wooten. Burial will be in Everett Adkins Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. A special thank you to Hospice of Huntington for their kindness and support. It’s with heartfelt sympathy I offer condolences to the entire family. Praying for all of you during this sorrowful time . I have very found memories of Tootsie. She was incredibly sweet and one of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege to know. May the Lord embrace each of you in his comforting arms .

Asbury,Kerry,Gary,Homer,Sandy and Randy I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending love and prayers for comfort . Your sweet wife and mother , I have no doubt is at rest now . She was one of the best, a great neighbor who had a heart of gold . Love you all.

Sorry for the family loss. She is definitely resting from her labors. Tootsie has been a light to many people in the community. Always had a kind word to say about everyone. Love for Asbury and all the kids, grandkids.
