 Grethel Jane Reed, 82, of Huntington, WV, passed away January 12, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery. She was born March 21, 1943, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Delbert and Sarah Cotton Turvey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Reed; son, Randy Lowe; and daughter Karen Lowe. She is survived by three daughters, Tonya Lowe (Greg Tackitt) of St. Johns, FL, Brittany Reed (Isaiah) of Huntington and Rose Ramirez of Defiance, Ohio; two sons, Charles Eddie Lowe (Charlotte D.) of Ohio and Jeff Lowe (Eva Frye) of Salt Rock; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home. I met this sweet lady atthe nursing home. I go every week to see my sister. I always take snacks to give to the residents. Grethel was so sweet and appreciative. She always called me "pretty lady". She always made my day. What a wondwrful person.

Grethel was one of the kindest, funniest women I have ever met. She always had a positive outlook on life and never let anything slow her down. I truly enjoyed getting to know her. Prayers and thoughts to her family and friends, especially her children.
