 Shirley Lynn Smith, 78, of Milton, WV, went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2026. She was born August 7, 1947, in Huntington, WV, daughter of the late Malcom and Elsie Dailey Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her sister Janet Kelley and her brother Forrest Jenkins. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Don Smith; one sister, Linda Clagg of Milton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Milton, by Pastor Mark Hesson and Chelsie Gibson. Entombment will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, is assisting the family with arrangements. Dear Don and Family,
We are so very sad to hear of the passing of your Beautiful Shirley! She was kind, generous and always welcoming. During our time with Brian and Rebekah in West Virginia, Shirley always made us feel welcome and was especially loving to our children. Praying for peace and comfort during this difficult time of loss. I know you will miss her greatly.

Mom talked about Shirley alot my whole life and Shirley came to Mom's funeral, which I'm grateful for.
Its a blessing to know they are reunited in Heaven and can fellowship in His light and grace.
