Dorothy Gentry Lambert, 72, of Westwood, Ky., died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
Mrs. Lambert was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Ashland, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Jesse James and Verna Howard Gentry.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Grant Lambert; a son, Stephen Joseph Lambert, who died in 2005; and three brothers, Joe Gentry, Jack Gentry and Charles Gentry.
She was former owner and operator of D&D Shoes in Flatwoods, Ky., and a former employee of the Gateway in Westwood. She was of the Christian faith and a devoted mother and grandmother.
Surviving are a daughter, Tonna Lambert (James) Brown of Greenup County, Ky.; two sons, Bobby Douglas (Elaine Devoe) Lambert of Ballston Spa, N.Y., and Richard Howard (Donna Rowe) Lambert of Westwood; and grandchildren, Steve Lambert, Paul Lambert, Bobby Hanners, Gary Hanners Jr. and Shane Brown.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at the Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Jack Salyers. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
