Frances Meeks Coburn Sheets, 87, of Ashland, Ky., died March 3, 2006, in Jo Lin Nursing Home in Ironton, Ohio.

She was born Nov. 19, 1918, in Paintsville, Ky., a daughter of the late James and Virgie Spears Meeks.

She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Leo Coburn in 1963 and James Sheets in 1973; a brother, James Meeks; and two sisters, Annabelle Meeks and Dean Meeks Brooks.

A homemaker, she was a member of Bonanza Freewill Baptist Church in Bonanza, Ky.

Surviving are a son, Johnny C. Coburn and wife, Peggy of Russell, Ky.; a brother, Otto Earl Meeks of Springfield, Ohio; four sisters, Verna Stultz of Springfield, Erma Gallagher of Springfield, Willa Condo of Columbus, Ohio, and Betty Zelnik of Columbus; grandchildren, Johnny Keith Coburn and wife, Bobbi of Haverhill, Ohio, and Clifford Leo Coburn and wife, Kelli of Russell; and great-grandchildren, Cody Levi, Cooper Leo and Zoe Alexandra.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Charles E. Stewart. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Friends may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1182, Ashland, KY 41105-1182.

i am looking for my sister her name is mary l spears and she pass way june the 7 2006 in paintsville kentucky and i can not find her and she passway at paul b hall medical center thank you very much geneva
