Geneva Jones Parsons Klaiber, 81, of Ashland, Ky., died March 9, 2006, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Klaiber was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Christopher Columbus Jones and Della Hall Jones Green.
Her husband of 31 years, Clifford Klaiber, died in 2003.
A devoted homemaker, she was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Shelton and her husband, Stuart of Bradenton, Fla.; four stepsons, David Klaiber of Bonita Springs, Fla., Allen Klaiber of Ashland, Jerry Klaiber of Flatwoods, Ky., and Stephen Klaiber of Ashland; two half sisters; seven grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and stepgreat-great-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be at the Burningtree Cemetery in Decatur, Ala., at a later date.
Services are under the direction of the Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
