Rose Ellen Eppenstein, 91, of Ashland, died Saturday, March 11, 2006, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility.
She was born Nov. 30, 1914, in Rockwood, Tenn., a daughter of the late William and Ella Lewis McPherson. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was a member of Normal Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Jerome Eppenstein, in 1994.
Survivors include a son, Timothy Eppenstein and wife Phyllis of Ashland; a daughter, Martha Tucker of Ashland; a sister, Marjorie Collins of Ooltewah, Tenn.; grandchildren Trudy Wellman, Teresa Spurlock, Timothy Tucker and Brian Eppenstein; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Susan Alley officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Steen Funeral Home- Central Avenue Chapel.
