Roy Brett Senters

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Posted: 03/16/06 - 09:49:46 pm EST

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roy Brett Senters, 42, died suddenly March 15, 2006, in St. Mary's Medical Center.

Brett is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Cadle Senters of Huntington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Baxter G. Senters, in 1998. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Browning Senters, and his sister, Baxetta Jean Senters, both of Ashland.

Brett was raised in Ashland and lived with his wife, Lisa, and two furry friends, Domino and Vivian, in Huntington. Brett was a chemical engineer at Sunoco in Haverhill, Ohio. Fascination best describes Brett's engagement with his life. He was a passionate musician, outdoorsman, and mostly, a genuine presence who always greeted others with a smile, a hug and a kind word. His fascination led him to a love of Mother Nature and her many manifestations. He was a great and respectful spirit who will be sorely missed by his wife, family, colleagues and many dozens of friends in the Parker/Porter Farm Community in Wayne County.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland. Friends may pay their repsects to the family from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Brett's final resting place will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausolem.

Lisa, I was saddened to hear of Brett's passing. He was a great engineer, and always a big help to me in anything we ever worked on together. We will miss him long after today. I only learned recently of his musical talents -- and regret never had had the opportunity to sit down and play guitar with him. Your husband was a wonderful guy. My prayers are with you. Lisa, I want you to know how sad I am and how sorry I am that Brett is gone. I cannot imagine your sorrow. But know how much we all love you both. He was a bright spot to everyone who knew him. I looked through all the pics I have of us from the Morgantown days, and Brett was smiling in every one of them. Just like him, huh? I miss him terribly, Lisa. If you ever need anything, please let know. Love, Dave
