Esther Mae Green Whitt, age 86, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, March 16, 2006, in Klondike Manor in Louisville, Ky.
She was born March 8, 1920, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late John L. and Lillie Flannery Green.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Earl Whitt; a brother, Estill Green; and a sister, Dorothy Owery.
A homemaker, she was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church (Pollard Mission).
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Allen (Kaylene) Whitt of Winfield, W.Va.; three daughters, Sandra Frazier of Louisville, Ky., Opal Allene (Mike) Loar of Georgetown, Ky., and Cindy Ann (David) Chandler of Huntington, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Ward, Travis Frazier, Brian Whitt, Andy and Jason Loar, and Tyler and Whitney Chandler; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Chris Ward. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, Ky.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
