Perlina Bowling Clarkston Fry (1928-2006)

Perlina Bowling Clarkston Fry, 77, of Cannonsburg, Ky., died Friday, March 24, 2006, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

She was born May 10, 1928, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late Willie C. and Zora Ward Bowling. Mrs. Fry was a homemaker and a member of the Huff Run Church in Grayson, Ky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Clarkston, in 1979; her second husband, James Forest Fry, in 2001; and two brothers, Jeddie Bowling and Jesse Bowling.

Mrs. Fry is survived by three sons, Danny Ray Clarkston, Paul Edward Clarkston, both of Cannonsburg, and James R. “Bob” Fry of Catlettsburg; a daughter, Carrie Elizabeth Sexton of Catlettsburg; two brothers, Paul Bowling of Westwood, Ky., and Hollie Bowling of Lexington, Ky.; four sisters, Beulah Kazee of Cannonsburg, Gertrude McDowell of Summit, Ky., Edna Sexton of Winchester, Ohio, and Gladys Brown of Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel with Hallie Wade and Ernest Bush officiating. Burial will be in Bowling Family Cemetery on Music Branch.
