Emma Mae Daniels Runyon - 1934-2006

Emma Mae Daniels Runyon, age 71, of Cannonsburg, Ky., died Monday morning, April 10, 2006, in Oakmont Manor Nursing Facility following an extended illness.

Mrs. Runyon was born Aug. 8, 1934, in Morgan County, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Norman and Ethel Conley Daniels.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, George Donald Runyon, and two brothers, Hollie and Carl Daniels.

She was a homemaker and attended Raceland Christian Church. She was a member of Oak Grove Church in Fort Gay, W.Va., and was a 1952 graduate of Boyd County High School.

Surviving are a son, Jim Runyon of Catlettsburg, Ky.; a daughter, Cynthia Sparks of Greenup, Ky.; a brother, Kenneth Elwood Daniels; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Runyon of Ashland, Ky.; sisters-in-law Rosie Farley of Deland, Fla., Ruth Jarvis of Ironville, Ky., and Ina Scott of Russell, Ky.; four grandchildren, Lee and Lauren Runyon of Catlettsburg and Jim Bob and Samantha Sparks of Danleyton, Ky.; special friends Libby Cline, Sue Schneider, Carolyn Runyon and Fletcher and Elizabeth Peterman; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Mack Ray Cyrus and Pastor Jim Matthews. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at the funeral home.

Friends may make contributions to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101 or Oakmont Manor Piano Fund, 1100 Grandview Drive, Flatwoods, KY 41139.
