I still think about Dustin. When I think about school, especially middle school, he is at the forefront of the few pleasant memories I have. He was genuine. He was kind. He was my "boyfriend" when I was eleven. It lasted nearly four days. After serious discussion, we parted amicably. But, being eleven years old that meant absolutely nothing except now I would answer the "beeps" when we were on the phone. I left school and I did not see him for two years but when I returned, he treated me like I was still a very close friend. Like I never left. He truly liked people. He truly cared about them. He even liked me at a time when I felt that nobody did and it may not have been just a feeling. He left an impression on me that will always be there. He is still very much alive in memory. You did a good job. I have two children, I can only imagine the pain you still feel. I hope my little boy grows up to be as kind, as genuine, as memorable. Thanks.

I just wanted to say I am very sorry for the loss of you son. I went to school with Dustin for a very long time. My brother John Prichard was just killed in a car wreck on October 11. He was 28 years old. Like Dustin, he had so many friends and family that loved and cared about him so much. I cant even explain what my family is going through but I know that you know there is no words to explain it. I hope and pray that God will help us all through these times and that we may turn to Him for guidance.

Karen, Stan, and Holly - I just got the news today (6/20/06) about Dustin. It broke my heart and I can't even imagine what you all are going through. Some of my fondest memories are of our boys playing T-ball together. They were so giggly and full of energy. Dustin was always sweet and smiling. He was so blessed to have parents who were always there to support him. You are a great family and I know you will be there for each other and get through this next year with each difficult holiday. It will be hard and sometimes you might feel like you are losing your mind. But you will make it! Post these verses all over your house and in your car. Proverbs 3:5&6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." With much love and prayers, Evelyn Fannin, Nicholasville, KY

In time, I know your faith, family and friends will help you get through this.

I am sorry that I have never met you but you raised Dustin to be an incredible young man. I remember Holly standing at the door waving to him when he got on the bus of a morning and everyone cheering him on when he played ball. I passed Dustin in Morehead a couple of weeks ago when he was walking down Main Street and honked at him receiving his usual joyful smile as he threw his arm up in return. He was someone who accepted everyone, worked hard, and entertained us all. I'm sorry for your loss but know Dustin will not be forgotten.

I am very sorry that I could not be there in person. I thought a lot of Dustin and enjoyed coaching him. He was a great kid to be around. I never heard him say a bad word to anyone. He got along with everyone and treated all with kindness. He always gave 110% and got the most out of his ability on and off the field. But most importantly, he was a good person. Your family has and will continue to be in my prayers. May God Bless and comfort you all.
